The Tomorrow War (2021)

A family man is drafted to fight in a future war where the fate of humanity relies on his ability to confront the past.

Big-budget, heavily derivative sc-fi alien invasion thriller does entertain, if you don't give any thoughts to the involved time-travel aspects of the story, and the third section is also a bit humorous.

I, Frankenstein (2014)

Frankenstein's creature finds himself caught in an all-out, centuries old war between two immortal clans.

Embarrasingly blatant attempt to turn Mary Shelley's beloved classic figure into a superhero franchise, made with the proper aplomp for the occasion and a nonsensical story.

Maltin*1/2: "Hopelessly contrived story...Good effects can't disguise what is basically another soulless UNDERWORLD-style exercise, using the movies' most famous horror creation to sell it. Eckhart is physically up to the task and gives his all,to no avail."

The Canyon (2009)

A honeymoon couple get lost in the wide expanse of the Grand Canyon.

Well-made and occasionally suspenseful drama, but as a whole rather senseless, especially considering the downbeat ending.

Killer Elite (2011)

When his mentor is taken captive by a disgraced Arab sheik, a killer-for-hire is forced into action to kill three members of Britain's elite Special Air Service responsible for the death of his sons.

Competent action-thriller that somehow doesn't compel with its overladen plot.

Maltin**1/2: "Rugged, well-actedactioner raises intriguing questions about morality and abuse of power, only to abandon them in favor of the usual slam-bang Stathem heroics."
