Due to the multiple rape scenes hard to take drama (based on a true story) explores quite ambiguously questions of sexual assault and dependency and complacency.

A look at the relationship between Marie Antoinette and one of her readers during the first days of the French Revolution.

Despite an interesting story, high production value and a good cast this movie fails to spark any sympathy and to appeal.
