Eraserhead (1977)

Henry Spencer tries to survive his industrial environment, his angry girlfriend, and the unbearable screams of his newly born mutant child.

Surreal masterpiece creates a nightmarish and doom-laden world, but interspersed with a very dark humour; the soundtrack alone is in itself a work of art.

Halliwell (no star): "Tediously elongated piece of schlock surrealism. At least Bunuel and Dali didn't take so long about their nonsense."

Maltin***: "Brooding experimental film full of repulsive imagery...Bona fide cult film is full of surreal, nightmarish tangents."
