Pursued (1947)

 

A boy haunted by nightmares about the night his entire family was murdered is brought up by a neighboring family in the 1880s. He falls for his lovely adoptive sister but his nasty adoptive brother and mysterious uncle want him dead. 

Dark noir Western reaps ups the passions in a mysterious, violent family feud with a doomed Robert Mitchum caught in its midst; compelling with beautiful black-and-white cinematography.

The Great Man (1956)

Joe Harris, preparing a eulogy for popular radio commentator Herb Fuller, finds that nobody has a good word to say about him.

Ambitious, but flawed satirical drama has some good moments, but misses its point on the way.

Bad Day at Black Rock (1955)

A one-handed stranger comes to a tiny town possessing a terrible past they want to keep secret, by violent means if necessary.

Revolt of the Zombies (1936)

An international expedition is sent into Cambodia to destroy an ancient formula that turns men into zombies.

Pretty bad horror adventure, poor in nearly all departments; the only suspense on offer is the expectation that the Zombies finally revolt and clean up this mess, but in the end they disappoint as well.
