The Double (2011)

A retired CIA operative is paired with a young FBI agent to unravel the mystery of a senator's murder, with all signs pointing to a Soviet assassin.

Run-of-the-mill spy thriller with at least one twist too many; only fairly entertaining.

Maltin BOMB: "Awkward, amateurish, sometimes laughable thriller is bad from the word "go", clearly not filmed where it takes place...Inauspicious directing debut..."

Truth (2015)

Newsroom drama detailing the 2004 CBS 60 Minutes report investigating then-President George W. Bush's military service, and the subsequent firestorm of criticism that cost anchor Dan Rather and producer Mary Mapes their careers.

Solid, but a bit old-fashioned political docudrama makes well use of its star cast and does manage to convey the vagaries and risks of a high-profile journalistic investigation into a political scandal.

The Calling (2014)

A detective hasn't had much to worry about in the sleepy town of Fort Dundas until a string of gruesome murders in the surrounding countryside brings her face to face with a serial killer driven by a higher calling.

Solid, but not too spectacular serial killer mystery with quite a construed plot; the performances are Ok, but rather perfunctory as well.
