The Bride and the Beast (1958)

When Laura and Dan get married, she's more interested in Dan's gorilla. It's revealed through hypnosis that she was Queen of the Gorillas in a previous incarnation.

Low-budget dram co-written by Ed Wood - and it shows; very silly, and at times amusingly so.

Apache Woman (1955)

A government agent is sent to a western town to investigate attacks that the townspeople say are being committed by rampaging Apaches.

Mildly entertaining low-budget Western with an anti-racist message and a bumpy plot.

Halliwell (no star): "Routine Western, to which Corman added a subplot about racial prejudice, which may have improved its liberal credentials but does little for it as a movie."

Maltin BOMB: "Sometimes hilariously bad, but mostly a bore."

Runaway Daughters (1956)

Three teenagers with troubled families are unable to adjust at home and in high-school. Tempted with an easy, carefree life they soon pass from misdemeanors into serious crime - and will suffer for it. Sometimes, repentance comes too late.

Despite presenting a large and lively ensemble the tale itself is lame and its moralizing outmoded.

Aliens come to Earth seeking scientists to help them in their war.
