Horns (2013)

In the aftermath of his girlfriend's mysterious death, a young man awakens to find strange horns sprouting from his temples.

Starts off more like a fantastical satire and descends into melodramtic horror; pure nonsense for a limited audience.

Supremacy (2014)

A just paroled white neo-nazi and his ruthless girlfriend kill a cop and takes an African American family hostage.

Well staged drama with a capable cast and simple anti-racist message, the narrative a bit marred by flashbacks filling in for some ellipses.

The Ruins (2008)

A group of friends whose leisurely Mexican holiday takes a turn for the worse when they, along with a fellow tourist, embark on a remote archaeological dig in the jungle where something evil lives among the ruins.

A silly premise is good for some unsavory scenes, but otherwise this is standard horror fare.

Maltin**: "LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS meets THE DESCENT...Gory scenes will have you squirming in your seat, although watching the characters take themselves too seriously is more funny than scary."
