Peaky Blinders, Season 5 (2019)

The crime family saga finds the world thrown into turmoil by the financial crash of 1929.

The saga goes on with the expected excellence in production and performances, but this season has quite an intermittent plot ending with a cliffhanger more suspenseful than the actual build-up to its finale.

Peaky Blinders, Season 4 (2017)

The former gangster is also a man alone, estranged from his family and focused only on business. But when he receives a mysterious letter on Christmas Eve, Tommy realises that the Shelbys are in danger of annihilation.

Season 4 successfully continues with the expected excellence of the previous season, this time with a more straightforward plot introducing the New York mafia threatening the Peaky Blinders racket; Adrien Brody is visibly enjoying his role as a bona fide mafia boss.

Peaky Blinders, Season 3 (2016)

Series 3 begins with the long-anticipated wedding of Thomas Shelby, where his family find themselves in danger of a mysterious guest. Tommy dives into a mission of intrigue, finding himself in situations more deadly than anything he has come across before.

The expansion of the Peaky Blinders saga (and empire) is as compelling and fascinating as ever, although the Russian conspiracy and jewelry heist is complex and difficult to follow.

Peaky Blinders, Season 2 (2014)

The Peaky Blinders looking to expand their operation into London but they upset some powerful people in doing so. Later; with the help of Tommy, Polly steps up her search for her missing son; Tommy initiates his plan to take over the southern racecourses; and with new ally Arthur in tow, the Peaky Blinders make a serious move on London's Eden Club.

Successful continuation and expansion of the gangster saga with some new interesting characters, of which Tom Hardy's Alfie Solomons is especially fascinating; the finale is almost unbearably suspenseful.

Peaky Blinders, Season 1 (2013)

A gangster family epic set in 1919 Birmingham, England; centered on a gang who sew razor blades in the peaks of their caps, and their fierce boss Tommy Shelby.

Excellent gangster drama with meticulous period detail and an impressive cast of characters; very suspenseful and violent. The selection of songs on the soundtrack are an attraction in itself.
