I'm Thinking of Ending Things (2020)

Full of misgivings, a young woman travels with her new boyfriend to his parents' secluded farm. Upon arriving, she comes to question everything she thought she knew about him, and herself.

Beautiful photography and set pieces, stellar performances and an increasingly surreal plot make this film an intriguing watch, although it asks more question than giving answers, and the ending is a bit disappointing.

Hostiles (2017)

In 1892, a legendary Army Captain reluctantly agrees to escort a Cheyenne chief and his family through dangerous territory.

Intense Western with splendid performances and cinematography has some harrowing scenes of violence; the anti-racist message, however, is presented without much depth and is quite predictable.

The Discovery (2017)

Two years after the afterlife is scientifically proven, a man attempts to help a young woman break away from her dark past.

An intriguing premise is muddled by a half-hearted treatment and a disappointing ending, and the central romance between Mara and Segel is simply mismatched.
