The Snow Creature (1954)

 

American botanical expedition in the Himalayas stumbles across a Yeti den, capture one and transport it back to Los Angeles, where it escapes while customs officials are debating whether it is animal or human. 

Risible and unexciting creature feature was very obviously made on a shoestring budget; the creature's costume is particularly pitiable.

 

The Twilight Zone: Where Is Everybody? (1959)

A man finds himself alone in a small Oakwood town and without recollection about his name, where he is or who he is, so he wanders through the town trying to find a living soul.

A good entry into the classic series: a simple mysterious premise is competently set into suspense despite this being a one-man show and offers a surprising twist ending.

The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957)

When a man begins to shrink because of exposure to a combination of radiation and insecticide, medical science is powerless to help him.

Magnificent sci-fi classic manages to create an existentialist drama out of a simple story with some very memorable scenes and a now famous closing monologue.
