Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018)

Jake Pentecost, son of Stacker Pentecost, reunites with Mako Mori to lead a new generation of Jaeger pilots, including rival Lambert and 15-year-old hacker Amara, against a new Kaiju threat.

OK sequel doesn't have really live up the original, but has good effects, some capable performances and does offer some exciting action.

The Oxford Murders (2008)

At Oxford University, a professor and a grad student work together to try to stop a potential series of murders seemingly linked by mathematical symbols.

Good to look at, great actors and lovely locations don't help much with a convoluted plot with an impossibly contrived ending, and the pseudo-science (especially math and philosophy) utilized solving the mystery is an aggravating insult for anyone who uses a brain.
