Crawl (2019)

A young woman, while attempting to save her father during a category 5 hurricane, finds herself trapped in a flooding house and must fight for her life against alligators.

Run-of-the-mill creature feature is made with competence and obvious knowledge of the genre, but there simply are no surprises here. 

Horns (2013)

In the aftermath of his girlfriend's mysterious death, a young man awakens to find strange horns sprouting from his temples.

Starts off more like a fantastical satire and descends into melodramtic horror; pure nonsense for a limited audience.

Mirrors (2008)

An ex-cop and his family are the target of an evil force that is using mirrors as a gateway into their home.

The movie pushes its narrative forward with urgency, but Sutherland's performance is over-the-top, and in the end it's nothing more than another plain old ghost story.
