Army of the Dead (2021)

 

Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted. 

Typical for its director, this is a top-notch production of a zombie movie, with a good team of characters, lots of action and gore and some dark humor, but all in all it's quite a silly mash-up of genres.  

Kursk (2018)

The film follows the 2000 K-141 Kursk submarine disaster and the governmental negligence that followed. As the sailors fight for survival, their families desperately battle political obstacles and impossible odds to save them.

Fairly solid dramatization of the actual catastrophe with good production value and a capable cast is more focused on the personal tragedies and less on the political scandal, dubiously omitting Vladimir Putin's role in it completely.
