On rewatching: still fascinating and well worth watching repeatedly.

When Mari Gilbert's daughter disappears, police inaction drives her own investigation into the gated Long Island community where Shannan was last seen. Her search brings attention to over a dozen murdered sex workers.

Strong, realistic true crime drama focused on the victims and their families amid a botched investigation;  enhanced by solid direction and extraordinary performances.

What Happened, Miss Simone? (2015)

The life and legend Nina Simone, an American singer, pianist, and civil rights activist labeled the "High Priestess of Soul."

Excellent documentary convincingly conveys the musician's genius and her music as well as her complex personality, while still presenting a comprehensive biography.
