Honogurai mizu no soko kara (2002)

A mother and her 6 year old daughter move into a creepy apartment whose every surface is permeated by water.

Slow-paced ghost story has a bleak atmosphere and delivers some minor shocks, but is not really that scary.

Halliwell (no star): "A heavy-handed ghost story that often seems no more than an indictment of Japanese plumbing; it delivers some effective shocks towards the end, but it's a long wait."

Unusual found-footage horror movie presents itself as documentary with divers sources, but artfully weaves together a coherent tale about a demonic supernatural entity; it does create an atmosphere of dread for those susceptible to its premise.
