Wisconsin Death Trip (1999)

 

A series of grisly events that took place in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, between 1890 and 1900 are dramatized. 

Unusual documentary doesn't focus on a singular case or phenomenon, but rather lists up a whole series of unusual deaths creating a gloomy and morbid atmosphere all of its own.

The Theory of Everything (2014)

A look at the relationship between the famous physicist Stephen Hawking and his wife.

Despite the title, this well-produced movie focuses on the couple's relationship and skips the science; period detail is excellent, and the main attraction are Redmayne and Jones' performances.

Shadow Dancer (2012)

In 1990s Belfast an active member of the IRA becomes an informant for MI5 in order to protect her son's welfare.

Intense, well made with a good cast, the movie doesn't really add any new insight into the North Ireland conflict.
