Joan Didion: The Center Will Not Hold (2017)

Literary icon Joan Didion reflects on her remarkable career and personal struggles.

Intimate documentary directed by the author's nephew gives a quite comprehensive overview of her life and works and - especially the recent years - strongly and excruciatingly tinged with tragedy, loss and grief.

Michelle Pfeiffer

La vache (2016)

An Algerian man's life-long dream finally comes true when he receives an invitation to take his cow Jacqueline to the Paris International Agriculture Fair.

Likable feelgood movie with a lively cast and a slight sense of humor.

Hell Drivers (1957)

Ercole al centro della Terra (1961)*

Hercules must journey in Hades itself to retrieve the magic stone that will free his love from the powers of darkness.

Steve McQueen

Heidi (2015)

A story of a young girl who lives in the Swiss Alps with her goat herding Grandfather.

Fairly good adaptation of the classic childrens' novel is clearly targeted to a young audience; Anuk Steffen is excellent in the title role.
