Hedda Gabler (1962)
A scheming woman marries a nice but dimwitted intellectual out of convenience. She hears that her old lover is back in town. She decides to destroy his life, jealous of his love affair with another.
A TV production with a stellar cast, in which Ingrid Bergman shines the best, is unfortunately a brutally condensed, stubbed up adaptation of the classic play.

The Return of Dracula (1958)
After a vampire leaves his native Balkans, he murders a Czech artist, assumes his identity, and moves in with the dead man's American cousins.
Interesting and unusual low budget horror film is skillfully set in suburban America with a slight touch of Noir.
Halliwell*: "Quite nicely made low-budget horror film with a good balance of the supernatural and the ordinary."
Maltin**: "Lederer thwarted by a mediocre script."

The Born Losers (1967)
Billy Jack battles outlaw motorcycle gang in a small California beach town.
Quite violent exploitation flick doesn't have much more to offer than its rough action scenes.
Halliwell (no star): "Teenage shocker, only notable for its credits, being the first Billy Jack film."
Maltin**1/2: "Good action scenes, but Laughlin's use of violence as an indictment of violence is already present."

Tenet (2020)
Armed with only one word, Tenet, and fighting for the survival of the entire world, a Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time.
Aside great production and dazzling visuals the over-construed plot with moving backwards moments is hard to take, especially you're trying to find any logic in it.

Shiva Baby (2020)
At a Jewish funeral service with her parents, a college student runs into her sugar daddy.
Brilliantly fresh, funny and modern coming-of-age comedy convinces due to a intelligent and imaginative script and a great ensemble, led by perfectly cast Rachel Sennott.

Infinite (2021)
A man discovers that his hallucinations are actually visions from past lives.
Highly derivative and uninspired hodgepodge of much better sci-fi and spy movies offers a lot of action and CGI, but never really thrills.

The Godfather Part II (1974)
Wayne Miller. USA. California. San Francisco. 1975. Francis Ford COPPOLA meeting with Godfather II crew
Die Nackte und der Satan (1959)
A scientist invents a serum that keeps a dog's head alive after its body dies. When the scientist dies of a heart attack, his crazed assistant cuts off his head and, using the serum, keeps the doctor's head alive and forces it to help him on an experiment to give his hunchbacked nurse assistant a new body.
Cheaply made and weird horror drama delivers the goods for this brand of the genre, quite entertainingly so.
Maltin**: "Old-fashioned chiller involving head-transplants, with obligatory murders and blood-drenched revenge; extremely eerie, but not very convincing."

Tonight for Sure (1962)
A pair of hypocritical blue-noses want to shut down a local burlesque house, even though they're secret smut enthusiasts.
Pretty bad, unfunny and mostly sexist nudie comedy was stitched together from other similar films; remarkable (and perplexing) as Francis Ford Coppola's first feature.
